About the Position
Seeking a licensed clinical therapist to provide outpatient individual, couple, family, and group therapy to clients of Pride Therapy in Long Beach, CA. Clinical therapy services include the treatment of adults and minors.
Reports To
Owner and/or Clinical Supervisor
Minimum Requirements
• Master’s Degree in clinical psychology, counseling or social work
• Active LMFT/LCSW license in the State of California
• Available to hold at least 27 client sessions per week
Other Qualification Preferences
• Prior experience in a private practice setting.
• Prior experience working with LGBTQ+ populations.
• Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.).
• Prior group facilitation experience.
• Prior experience with clinical documentation.
Hours & Schedule
Work hours and schedule may vary depending on client and Pride Therapy needs. Hours include some nights and/or weekends. Therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of clients or sessions per week. However, it is expected that Therapist will be available to hold at least 27 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Pride Therapy. Client sessions are held in the offices of Pride Therapy, or via telehealth.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Perform on-site and telehealth clinical counseling services to clients of Pride Therapy, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
2. Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required.
3. Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Pride Therapy.
4. Follow legal, ethical, and clinical directives of supervisor and owner.
5. Maintain professional liability insurance and list Pride Therapy as an additional insured.
6. Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 48 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Pride Therapy website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients.
7. Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary, as directed by supervisor.
8. Timely completion of written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, billing statements, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Pride Therapy or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep client files accurate and up to date.
9. Charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Pride Therapy.
10. Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Pride Therapy.
11. Conduct and regulate therapy services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Pride Therapy. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers.
12. Other duties which may be assigned.

Compensation
Hourly rate of $85.00 as a W2 employee
